Christ our Mediator: Finding Passion at the Cross by C.J. Mahaney

Jerry Bridges writes this about Mahaney's book: "The great nineteenth century Scottish pastor, Haratius Bonar once wrote, 'If we would be holy, we must get to the cross and dwell there.' C. J. Mahaney takes us to the cross in such a way that we can indeed dwell there. This is a book to be read and reread many times. Its message will never grow old or out of date."

I JUST found that book. I bought it for our missionaries for Christmas in October and will most definitely get it for ME. :)

Another great book by Mahaney is a small book called "The Cross Centered Life" ($7) that has a big message - keeping the gospel the main thing. You can read it in an hour and it's a perfect give-away book. There is a companion CD to the book that I would also highly recommend "Songs for the Cross Centered Life", which emphasizes the five solas. Soli Deo Gloria!

I am in this book right now. The Cross-Centered Life was a life-changer! I'm so thankful for C.J.'s passion to bring us "to abide hard by the cross to search the mystery of His wounds" -Spurgeon. Such a blessing, encouragement, and conviction all in one drink!
