God is the Gospel
John Piper's newest book, God Is the Gospel: Meditations on God's Love as the Gift of Himself, is coming to stores on September 2o. Here's the promotional blurb:
"Most people, when they ponder what it means to be loved by God, think of the things that God does for us. John Piper writes that what is most loving about God is not his making much of us, but his enabling us, at great cost to himself, to enjoy making much of him forever."

Had the privilege of going to Piper's seminar at North Hills two weekends ago. I cannot tell you how blessed I was. I felt like I was getting a drink with a fire hose! He preached at our church that Sunday...we had almost 500 folks! It was amazing. I am going to enjoy some of the books I purchased.
God is the Gospel!! What a great title. This takes away yet another excuse & feeble argument from those who would say that talking about the Gospel so much is idolatry or a mantra.
You can't stop the Gospel. This book will no doubt be another gem from Piper.
